It took a mountain and a meteor.
Our name “Dusty Star” is taken from Dusty Star Mountain in Glacier Park. And, the mountain derived its name from the Blackfoot word for a “smoking star” or meteor. So, naming a Montana Bar & Grill after an impressive mountain and a blazing meteor seemed to be setting the bar just about high enough for our standards—we hope you’ll agree.
At Dusty Star you’ll find a relaxed, casual environment with a full bar and some really good food.

our Story
What makes our food special? First, we pride ourselves on exceptional ingredients and a kitchen staff which is on par with the best in the Valley (no joke). We’ve put together a really strong menu of great apps, solid sandwiches & salads, and some seriously good entrees. Then, we have a state-of-the-art smoker that’s some serious hardware from which we smoke our own brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, all specially prepared and “dusted” with our own mix of herbs and spices.
